Mediastinal Bronchial Cyst as a Mediastinal Mass

Abstract

Mediastina l bronchial cyst is a rare congenital anomaly of tracheobronchial tree. In early childhood, it can cause serious symptom due to pressure to adjacent organ. Although it induces only mild symptom in adulthood, surgical management is recommended for definite diagnosis. This 24 years old male was admitted to Seoul National University Hospital because of a bnormality on chest roentgenogram which was found during recruitment physical examination. History and physical examination showed no a bnormality. Chest roentgenogram revealed superior mediastinal mass. Mediastinal bronchial cyst was confirmed by operation.
