Isolation of Emericella Nidulans var. Latus (Imperfect State, Aspergillus Nidulans var. Latus) from a Patient with Healed Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

Emericella nidulans var. latus (imperfect state, Aspergillus nidulans var. latus) was isolated from a 26 year-old male patient whose chief complaint was a continuous hemoptysis. His sputum specimens were devoid of tubercIe bacilIi by successful anti-tuberculous chemotherapy. Isolation of this fungus from clinical sources was not previously reported neither in Korea nor in other countries.
