Intrathoracic Gauze Granuloma -A Case Report-

Abstract

Post-operatively developed and identified intra-thoracic gauze granuloma is not as frequently reported as intraabdominal gauze granuloma in the literature. One case of intra-thoracic gauze granuloma which was identified 14 years after thoracotomy was reported in 36-years-old housewife. Pre-operative diagnosis was made by percutaneous transthoracic needle a spiration and successfully treated by thoracotomy.
