A Case Report of the Pulmonary Cryptococcosis Associated with Hilar Lymphadenopathy

Abstract

Cryptococcosis is a noncontagious, often opportunistic mycosis in volving lung, meninges, skin and bone. We nave experienced one case of pulmonary cryptococcosis without evidence of involving other organ. Patient was a 59 years old diabetic woman presented with 2 months duration of anterior chest pain and mass lesion on chest X-ray. Cryptococcus was found at the tissue obtained from thoracotomy and combined therapy with amphotericin B and 5-flucytosine was given.
