Abstract

Civil aviation crews are subject to be influenced by the use of alcohol or other impairing chemical substances and are more likely to have significant consequences. Alchhol is the most frequently engaged chemical in aviation accidents and consequently the ICAO annex 1 defines the permissible alcohol blood level in aviation crew. The aviation authority requires civil aviation crews to make a report all of their use of alcohol and/or other drugs and its blood level is under surveillance. Here the author introduces the guideline of reference measurement of blood alcohol and drug level in civil aviation crews enforced by the authorities.
