Abstract

Although novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) mainly affects lung, it also affects thecardiovascular system. Cardiac manifestations of COVID-19 include myocardial injury, myocarditis, heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, thromboembolism, and arrhythmias. Cardiovascularinvolvement in COVID-19 is related to poor prognosis and increased mortality. Therefore, the recognition of cardiac complications and prompt treatment of cardiac injury inpatients with suspected COVID-19 is essential.
