Abstract

Custom abutment fabrication using computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology is an efficient method that can be used to overcome complications associated with tilted implant installation and esthetics. This technology is becoming increasingly popular due to its convenience. However, CAD-CAM abutments are often misused because many clinicians did not consider the various factors involved in their use. Herein, we investigate the factors that must be considered during the fabrication of CAD-CAM abutments, problems using compatible abutments.
