Giant Cell Tumor of the Radius Treated by Massive Resection and fibula Bone graft: One case Report

Abstract

The distal and of the radius is one of the common sites affected by giant cell tumor of bone. Currettage, bone-grafting, irradiation, resection with or without bone grafting, and amputation have all been used in the treatment of giant cell tumor in that site, but with those regimens a 50% recurrence rate was reported. One case of giant cell tumor of the distal and of the radius was treated by massive resection and reconstruction using a autograft taken from the fibula. There was no local recurrence of metastasis noted on follow up for one year. An excellent functional result was also achieved in our case.
