Hourglass gall bladder associated with milk of calcium bile at fundal compartment: case report

Abstract

Hourglass GB, which means concentric narrowing of mid portion of the GB resulting in almost complete separationof two compartments, is not a common variation of the shape of GB, either congenital or acquired. Milk of calciumbile is characterized by the presence of radiopaque material within the GB sufficient to produce opacification ofthe GB like as oral cholecystogram on plain film. The combination of these two entities is extremely interesting and rare. We could not find out any such case previously reported. We experienced one case of hourglass GBassociated with milk of calcium bile at fundal compartment, so report here.
