Budd-Chiari Syndrome: Right hepatic vein obstruction and incomplete IVC obstruction with azygos continuation of IVC

Abstract

A case of Budd-Chiari Syndrome was confirmed in our hospital by various radiologic approach, liver biopsy andsurgery. Radiologic findings shows selective right hepatic vein obstruction, incompleter IVC obstruction andazygos continuation of IVC Liver biopsy disclose centilobular sinusoidal congestion and massive hepatocyte destruction. On operation findings, incomplete web was noted in hepaticportion of IVC as cause of obstruciton. We report this case of Budd-Chiari Syndrome with review of literature.
