Multiple echogenic sports in spleen: Gandy-Gamna nodules in congestive splnenomegaly

Abstract

We report a case showing multiple widespread echogenic foci in ultrasonogram and multiple high density spotsin computed tomogram in spleen, which has congestive splenomegaly secondary due to liver cirrhosis and portal veinthrombosis. Pathologically the lesions in spleen correspond with mainly homosiderin deposits in Gandy-Gamnadondules seen in congestive splenomegaly.
