Abstract

This is a report of a case of spontaneous rupture of the esophagus associated with intramural rupture causedby ingestion of weeding medicine for the purpose of suicide in a 27 year old Korean male whose chief complaintswere dyspnea , epigastric pain, swallowing disturbance, and hoarsencess for 3 days prior to admission. A review ofliterature is submitted.
