Abstract
- LASIK was performed in accommodative esotropes who have difficulties in wearing glasses. All patients were over 15 years old and preoperative refraction ranged from +3.25D to +8.00D and average deviations were 37 prism diopers without corrected glasses. At postoperative 8 weeks all patients maintained visual acuity and ocular alignment without glasses. In all cases, any noticeable complications and regression of best corrected visual acuity after surgery had not been found until the last follow-up.LASIK appears to be an another effective procedure to treat accommodative esotropia.
