Abstract

Three patients with multifocal pigment epithelial diseases have been subject to a follow-up study. In all the patients bilateral serous retinal detachment resolved within 2 weeks to 4 weeks but left a diffuse pigmentary disturbance after recovery. In one case the characteristics of the disease was similiar to Harada's disease. In another case, I thought that it was best to classify as Harada's disease rather than a different disease. In only one case the retinal morphology and clinical course was similiar in certain respects to Harada's disease and in others to APMPPE.
