Abstract

1. A statistical study over the incidence and the evaluation of the results in 161 cases of dacryostenosis detected out of 534 consecutive ocular diseases in infants over the past three years were carried out. 2. The incidence of this disease was more higher in male than in female and in the left eye than in the right one. But the bilateral occurrence was found rare in comparison to other previous reports. 3. No significance was noted as to the yearly occurrence. 4. Good therapeutic results were found in active treatment in early stage than conservative one.
