Abstract
- The nevus sebaceus is a hamartomatous lesion that is believed to arise from pluripotential primary epithelial germ cells, with the capacity to differentiate to various benign and malignant neoplasms. The most common benign tumor is syringocystadenoma papilliferum and the most common malignant tumor is basal cell carcinoma, while the sebaceous carcinoma is rarely occurred. A 47-year-old Korean man presented with two nodules on the scalp, one was a yellow, hard nodule and the other was an erythematous, oozing nodule. Both nodules arose on the yellowish hairless plaque that had been present since birth on the scalp. The histopathologic examination showed sebaceous carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma.
