Abstract

Tuberculous infection of renal cyst is a very rare disease. We report a case of tuberculous infection of renal cyst in a 31 years old man. Incidental renal ultrasonography showed multiple septated cysts on the upper pole of the left kidney. Abdominal CT showed septated left renal cyst with calcification. The patient was treated with cyst aspiration and unroofing. AFB were confirmed in the culture of aspirated fluid of renal cyst. Pathologic examination revealed chronic granulomatous pyelonephritis with caseous necrosis.
