A Case of Placenta Site Trophoblastic Pseudotumor [PSTT] with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis

Abstract

The placenta site trophoblastic pseudotumor is a rare variant of gestational trophoblastic disease, and occured in woman with reproductive age. Because this tumor is very resistant to standard chemotherapy, the most optimal treatment is the early diagnosis and aggressive surgical treatment of localized tumor. The high risk factor of pseudotumor is related to antecedent term pregnancy, high mitotic count, old age. We recently experienced a case of placenta site trophoblastic pseudotumor with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, confirmed by pathologic diagnosis, so present this case with a brief review of corresponding literature.
