Abstract

Orbital pseudotumor is an inflammatory lesion of the orbital tissues of unknown etiology that is one of the most common cause of unilateral proptosis. We experienced a case of temporal posterior ciliary artery obstruction in 68 years old female patient with orbital pseudotumor. She had unilateral proptosis, ocular motility deficit, afferent pupillary conduction defect, and increased intraocular pressure. Orbital pseudotumor is diagnosed by histologic findings of chronic nonspecific inflammation and radiologic findings of poorly defined retrobulbar soft tissue density mass with diffuse thickening of lateral rectus and inferior rectus muscle, and good response to steroid therapy.
