Abstract
- The authors have performed EIAB surgery on four patients. They were affected by progressive stroke with middle cerebral artery occlusion, reversible ischemic neurologic deficits with middle cerebral artery stenosis, traumatic middle cerebral artery occlusion and traumatic internal carotid occlusion in the high cervical region. Our experience on the anastomoses between extracranial artery and a branch of the middle cerebral artery, although not extensive, give us the opportunity to examine some aspects of the problem and to raise some questions.
