Abstract

This article reports treatment for a 24-year 8-month old female patient with severe condyle resorption. She had an anterior crowding, clicking sound, and deviated mouth opening path. In CT views, right mandibular condyle has been resorbed in the medial pole and it had formation of osteophyte in the superior pole of the left condyle. By meaning of manipulation and splint therapy, TMJ clicking sound was improved, and additional splint assisted orthodontic treatment was combined. There were no more progressive bony resorption, and we have achieved proper vertical position in the both condyle head at post-treatment stage at last.
