Abstract

People with diabetes mellitus develop lower-limb complications such as diabetic neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, foot ulcers, and lower-leg amputations. Widespread failure to carry out diabetic foot screening can lead to risk of ulceration and amputation. We hope to enhance competence and knowledge concerning high-risk diabetic foot screening. This continuing education activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interest in skin and wound care.
