Abstract
- Amputations involving four middle and distal phalangeal part of digits are rare because of the different length of the digits, and it is also unusual to have all digits suitable for replantations. The replantations were done under local anesthesia (axillary nerve block). The operating time was 11 hours, and the total amounts of transfused blood was 3 point. The warm ischemic time was 3 hours, and the cold ischemic times ranged from 1 hour to 10 hours. The sequence of replantation was longer amputated stump to shoter amputated stump. The replanted digits were all survived. In multiple digits replantation, there are problems that must be overcome. The long operating time was overcome by skillful microsurgical technique, the large amount of blood loss was overcome by using microclamp, and the long ischemic time was not dramatically related to survival rate.
