Abstract
-
Left ventricular thrombus (LVT) is one of the serious complications in patients with extensive acute anterior myocardial infarction (MI). The presence of mobile and protruding LVT increases the risk of systemic embolization. We experienced two cases of LVT complicated by acute MI, which resolved with medical therapy. One is a case of LVT in a patient with the first acute anterior MI, with normal coronary angiogram, and resolved LVT by antithrombotic anticoagulant therapies. Another is a LVT complicated by acute embolic stroke due to acute anterior MI, and resolved by medical therapy without repeated embolic sign.
