From February 1988 to June 1994, we compared deviation angle of between the ones who were operated by occlusion therapy and the ones who were not in 25-25 prism diopters overcorrected patients after operation of monocular exotropia at Wonju christian hospital. After 1 months of the operation in case of occlusion therapy patients(92%) with 12 out of 13 have been stabilized from the deviation angle under 15 prism diopters but no occlusion therapy patients(60%) have been stabilized with 6 out of 10. We thought that occlusion therapy was good method for early decreasing deviation angle and maintaining fusion state in 20-24 prism diopters overcorrected patients after operation of monocular exotropia.
