Abstract
- Pilar sheath acanthoma is a rare, benign follicular tumor, which is found almost exclusively on the upper lip of adults. As a consequence of histologic analogy, pilar sheath acanthoma should be differentiated from trichofolliculoma and dilated pore of Winer. We report a case of pilar sheath acanthoma, presenting as an asymptomatic solitary skin-colored papule on the anterior neck, with a review of clinical and histopathological characteristics.
