Abstract
-
A number of Americo-European authors have reported this disease already. However, we were not able to find any in the ophthalmological literatures in this country. The purpose of this paper is to remind this disease among ophthalmologists as in early stage of this condition, it is quite similar to a chalazion. If one gets recurrences following adequite operations for chalazion, he should do biopsy to rule out this disease. A 65 years old farmer came to see us for ocular discharges and injection with a nodule in the lower lid of his left eye. We are an excisional biopsy as we wondered if it was a Meibomian gland carcinoma. Actually it was a Meibomian gland carcinoma. Its cosmetical result was excellent and there was no evidence of recurrence in 10 months following operation.
