The true neuromas represent a specific entity in the range of benign nerve sheath tumor. The lesions exist in the skin and mucous membrane. Of these, palisaded encapsulated neuroma(PEN) is a solitary tumor measuring less than 0.5 cm and usually locates on the face. A 5-year-old boy presented with an isolated 3.0X3.0X0.7cm sized, soft collagenoma-like mass on the plantar area of left foot. It had developed for about 4 years. The histologic features demonstrated PEN-like encapsulated bulbous expansions in the dermis. This clinical manifestation of neuroma is considered a rarity.
