A Case of Clear Cell Hidradenoma

Abstract

We report a case of clear cell hidradenoma in a 61-year-old woman, who had a 1.2x1.2 cm sized, smooth-surfaced, erythematous nodule on the left shin for 7 months. Histopathological examination revealed tubular and cystic structures within the intradermal tumor composed of clear cells and polyhedral cells. The clear cells and cystic materials of the tumor exhibited a PAS-positive reaction. Results of immunoperoxidase staining for S-100 protein and carcinoembryonic antigen were positive in the tumor cells. During the one year follow up period after excision, there was no recurrence.
