A Case of Tufted Hari Folliculitis
Abstract
- The distinctive clinical features of tufted hair folliculitis(THF) are scarring alopecia and the grouping of hairs into regularly spaced tufts. The pathological finding is perifollicular inflammation around the upper portions of the follicles with completely sparing of the hair root region. We present a case of THF in a 23-year-old male who had a 13-year history of an inflamed and exudative scarring alopecia on the occipital scalp.
