Clinical Observation on Bladder Tumor

Abstract

A clinical observation was made on 88 cases of bladder tumor admitted to the Department of Urology. Presbyterian Medical Center during the period from Aug., 1970 to July. l975, and the following results were obtained. 1. Among 88 cases of in-patients, 68 cases were male and 20 female with 3.1:1 ratio. 2. Age distribution is between 40 and 70 years, showing the highest incidence in 60 to 70 years(37.5%) 3. The clinical manifestation included hematuria (53.4%). dysuria (13. 8%), frequency(9.5%) and other symptoms. 4. The tumors were located in the base and lateral wall of bladder (63.6%) mainly. 5. On I.V.P. findings, 56 cases (63. 6%) were normal, 13 cases (14.8%) showed unilateral hydronephrosis and 7 cases (7.9%) bilateral hydronephrosis. 6. Of 88 cases of bladder tumor, 63 cases were transitional cell carcinoma, 13 cases of squamous, cell carcinoma, 3 cases of adenocarcinoma, and 9 cases of metastatic carcinoma.
