Abstract

The authors were able to remove cataracts in four young patients intracapsularily. Vitreous loss was complipated in two cases, which were in the patients of cataracta Juvenilis immatura anc cataracta traumatica in recent origin(20- and 18-Years-old boys respectively). But in the other cases of long standing cataracta centralis cogenita and cataracta membrancea(17- and 18-years-old boys), they could remove them without any complication. They believe that the connection between the posterior lens capsule and the anterior limtting membrane of the vitreous is soloose in the long standing catracts that they could remove the lens without vitreous loss. But in the immature cataracta or short standing cataracta in the young such as in the cataracta traumatica, there should be still strong adhesion between above mentioned structures and the result would be the vitreous loss in spite of weakened zonules by the enzyme(Quimotrase).
