Abstract
- A 63-year-old man presented with an asymptomatic, solitary, yellowish papule on the scalp for one year. There was no family history of similar lesions. A punch biopsy taken from the papule Showed an oily yellowish discharge. Histopathological findings showed a thin-walled cyst lined by a stratified squamous epithelium with hyaline cuticle and no granular layer. Based on this histologic finding, we diagnosed this case as a steatocystoma simplex occurring on the scalp, an unusual site.
