A Case of Irritant Contact Dermafitis Due to Ranuculus japonicus
Abstract
- Plant dermatitis can be classified as irritant contact dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, phytophototoxic dermatitis, pseudophytod-ermatitis and light-aggravated phytodermatitis, Ranuculus japonicus contains strong primary irritants, such as protoanemonin, which cause bullous reactions. We report a case of irritant contact dermatitis caused by Ranuculus japonicus for the treatment of arthralgia in a 57 year old female.
