Recurred Ameloblastoma: A Case Report

Abstract

Ameloblastoma is most commonly occuring odontogenic tumor in oral cavity. The biologic behavior of this neoplasm is a slowly growing, locally invasive tumor with a high rate of recurrence, therefore malignant neoplasm is defined clinically. Surgical procedures of the ameloblastoma is classified curettage, enucleation, marginal resection, segmental resection, and hemisection.Treatment method, recurrence rate, and prognosis are different depending on the clinical type of ameloblastoma. We experienced recurred ameloblastoma in mandibular edentulous area after conservative operation. This is a report of a case about 41-year-old female patient with recurred ameloblastoma on mandible body treated by marginal resection and autogenous iliac bone graft.We present the case with review of literature.
