A Case of Orbital Cavernous Hemangioma in 2 Years of Age

Abstract

Cavernous hemangioma is cited as the most common primaly tumor occured in adults, This tumor has symptoms characteristically developing over several years with slowly progressive proptosis, eyeball deviation, hyperopia, and optic nerve corrcpression, The authors experienced a 2-year-old male patient who had complained of proptosis and displacement of the globe inferolaterally on his right eye since over the several months Excisional biopsy and histopathologic examination disclosed cavernous hemangioma, which had never been reported in less than 2 years of age, So we present our case with a brief review of the literature related to cavernous hemangioma.
