The purpose of this report is to summarize the ocular findings in 8 patients who have had radical maxilIectomies. After radical maxilIectomy, ocular ptosis, enophthalmos, and obstruction of lacrimal canaliculus and nasolacrimal duct are common results. Visual acuity and binocular visual function are not often affected. In reviewing the initial medical histories, two patients reported their first symptom was epiphora with photophobia.
