Primary Long Ureteral Polyp in Adult: A Case Report

Abstract

A case of lone ureteral polyp is presented. The patient was a 27 year old woman complaining of gross hematuria and painful urination. Radiological examinations showed filling defects of left lower ureter with slight urinary stasis. Ureteroscopic examinations revealed a polyp, and biopsy revealed no malignant changes. Lt. lower ureterectomy and ureteroneocystostomy with the psoas hitch and the Boari flap method was performed. Pathologic findings showed no malignant cells. The polyp showed a narrowed pedicle measuring 7 cm in ength.
