Studies on Semen: II. Clinical Observation on Male Sterility*

Abstract

Routine semen analysis along with physical examination on sterile male patients were performed and the following results were obtained.: The average age of the patients studied was 39.6 years and the duration of sterility 9.8 years. In 48% of the cases there was a history of gonorrhea, in 17% tuberculosis, and in 11% no known causes was determined. Primary sterility was observed in 84% and the secondary sterility in 16%. All results of semen analysis in this series except morphology and pH determination were slightly lower or less than the normal controls reported in part I.
