A case of primary cardiac fibroma in adult

Abstract
- Cardiac fibromas are rare and histologically benign intramural tumors. But, they can result in critical hemodynamic disorders and arrhythmias because of their size and location. In our case, a 33-year-old woman who has no past medical history of heart, was admitted due to chest pain and dyspnea. We performed echocardiography and cardiac MRI which revealed a mass compressing the left ventricle. Thereafter, she underwent heart tissue biopsy after left thoracotomy and the mass was diagnosed with cardiac fibroma.
