A Case of Cystadenofibroma of the Ovary
Abstract
-
Cystadenofibroma of the ovary is relatively rare tumor which is histologically characterized by a prominent fibrous tissue component in addition to its epithelial elements. In spite of the obvious histogenesis of this neoplam, it occupies an equivocal position among the verious ovarian neoplams. The true ineidence of ovarian cystadenofibroma is uncertain but surely low. Ovarian cystadenofibroma is more common than geneny beieved and that is of an entirely benign nature, necessitating only conservative surgical tberapy. We present a case of bilateral ovarian cystadenofibroma arising from ovary, with a brief review of the literature.
