Experience with Griseofulvin in Korea
Abstract
- 1) The author observed two cases of sporotrichosis, which has been rarely found in Korea. 2) From the view point of their professional status, the occurence of sporotrichosis is claimed due to handling of straw and leather, when the two cases were a shoe-maker and a house-wife of certain farmer respectively. 3) By the culture of specimen obtained, the strain was examined to be the one mostly similar to a variant of Sporotrichum Beurmani. 4) With regards to the rports cocerning sporotrichum genus, there had been few cases reported, however, the occurances of such sporotrichosis may be considered to claim that rapid and frequent communications between Korea and foreign countries may assist its invasion from outland into Korea at present time.
