Abstract
-
Hiccup is caused by various etiologies. Intractable hiccup is defined as hiccup bouts lasting more than 48 hours or recurring despite various treatments. Intractable hiccup often results from an underlying serious pathologic process, especially CNS problem. Recently, we have experienced a case of multiple sclerosis presenting with intractable hiccup, which has never been reported in Korea.
