Viral gastroparesis is a rare disease which is regarded as a subgroup of idiopathic gastroparesis. It is abruptly developed after viral infection. It tends to affect young persons who are healthy. It is commonly associated with autonomic neuropathy, and its prognosis is excellent. Recently we experienced a 42-year-old woman with gastroparesis occurred after a viral infection. Gastric emptying was severely delayed on gastric emptyiog scintigraphy. Antropyloroduodenal manometry showed severe hypomotility on antrum.
