Abstract

Most pancreatic cystic neoplasms are detected incidentally when abdominal imaging is performed for other indications. The major challenge is identifying lesions with malignant potential or signs of malignancy while not subjecting patients to unnecessary testing. Occasionally, it is not easy to differentiate cystic lesion and endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) is helpful. A 50-year-old man had pancreatic cystic lesion at pancreas when it was abscent 1 year before. Abdomen ultrasound showed about 3-4 cm multiloculated cystic lesion at uncinate process. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography were done. Endoscopic ultrasonography showed similar feature like abdomen ultrasound. We performed EUS-FNA and analyzed the fluid. He was diagnosed as a serous cystadenoma correctly.
