Behavior Problems in Preschool Children

Abstract

Prevalence of behavior problems in 2 to 5 year old children in Pediatric Clinic of Ehwa Womans university Hospital was studied through questionnaire answered by mothers. Among 930 children studied, significant number of children are reported by their mothers to have behavior problems, especially in area of relationship with parents and personality traits, and 13% of the mothers expressed the need of consulttation with professionals in these areas. This study suggests the importance of behavior problems in proschool children and several suggestions are made to help children to grow and develop to be a heathy and productive adults.
