Normal ECG Standard for Children in Korea: 1st report : in neonatal period

Abstract

Normal ECG standards of 700 healthy neonates, who were born at Hanyang University Hospital from August 1981 to April 1982, were determined, by authors, according to the following items : Heart rate, Frontal plane QRS axis angle, PR interva. QRS duration, QT interval, P wave duration, P wave amplitude, S wave amplitude, Ventricular activation time(VAT), and QRS transitional zone in standarsd 12ECG leads and V3R. The neonate were classfied according to the age : group l: within 24 hours, ll: 1-3 days, lll: 1-3 days, lV:1-4 weeks. For each items, the mean values and percentiles (2, 5, 25, 50, 75, 95, 98 percentile)were obtained.
